So when I am connected to my wifi on my iphone or tablet, I can start the app and it brings up the cameras but when I disable my wifi on my phone or tablet and use the 3g network to open the live feed within the app, the app says connection failed. I am able to access the cameras with my iphone and tablet while on wifi using the hrgx app which is setup in the following way: Device information- Alias= homecameras, Register mode= ip/domain, address=(same address i assigned earlier), port = same 4 digit # I chose earlier, user name= *****, password=*****, camera no.=4(#of cameras). which cannot be changed and leaves the last space empty so I can fill it in which I did with the last three digits of the ip address that I assigned to my dvr and finally clicked the enable box and save settings.
Then I went back into my router page and went to the port range forwarding section and I entered the four digit port# as the starting and the same number as the ending, selected TCP for protocol, next there is 192.168.1. I changed the server and http port #'s from their defaults of 8000 and 80 to numbers that I chose. When I search thru the network settings on the dvr via the menu, it gives me a server port# ****, a http port# ** and a ntp port# ***.
This topic was modified 6 years, 6 months ago by Mike Haldas.Jsmithepa- when you "say" tell router, do you mean port forwarding? I do not have the actual manual for the dvr but am using a generic manual for multiple units that I found on the manufacturers website.I have accessed my router(linksys wrt120n) page and the dhcp client table, I have a few WLAN's( iphones, tablets and laptops) and two LAN's(a microcell for our cellphones and this dvr) so when looking at the network settings on the dvr via the menu, I set the dvr's ip address to the one listed on the client table. We also have an online tool that you can use to test to see if your port forwarding is working. anytime, anywhere to capture real-time monitoring picture, video and stored on. anytime, anywhere access to your device, you can view real-time monitoring and video files 2. When your Phone using a WiFi or cellular data, can access your device by the software.
You can learn more about port forwarding here. ZOSI VIEW is a software to monitor real-time and playback. This is done by accessing the configuration of your router. The second thing that must be setup properly to access your security cameras remotely is port forwarding. I am not sure if ClearVu / Defender DVRs support this, but if they do, the setup will be similar to the way our iDVR-PRO CCTV DVRs are setup. Some DVRs and IP cameras have a DDNS service built into them and make this very easy to setup. You will use the hostname that you setup in the IP address / hostname field in the settings of your iOS app (and any other client app that you access your DVR using). For example, you can use a hostname such as that you will use instead of your IP address to access your DVR. When you are using an Internet connection that has a dynamic IP address, DDNS let’s you setup a hostname that always points to the current IP address of your Internet connections (even if your IP address changes). In order to have a stable setup so that you can access your surveillance DVR remotely over the Internet, you need to setup both port forwarding and a dynamic DNS account (DDNS).
App finds the TV but when I click on it to connect it says: 'Something went wrong. It does work on the phone but not on my notebook.
I installed Smart View on my PC (W10) and Samsung Phone. The mobile app that you are using is not the problem. Hi All, I recently (today) bought new TV - UE55MU6172.
I need to know what free app I may used to use these cameras. However, I have been able to get view via my iPad using my WiFi but once I leave that connection I can’t see from another WiFi. Now I’m having difficulty because my IP address keeps changing via my ISP provider and I’m not able to view them at all on the phone. At first it was working and I could view the cameras remote. I have been using ClearVu / Defender app on my iPhone but can’t seem to get the iPhone to work with it. I have a security system in my home (Defender). A customer with remote DVR access problems recently contacted me because they were loosing remote viewing capability to their security cameras from iOS whenever their ISP changed their IP address.
